This place was delicious! We came here and it felt like a good spot. I love this little restaurant. The service was great, I told them I had an allergy to eggs, and they found out what I could eat. This service is very hard to find because most of the time people just go in the back and come out saying I can eat everything. I had the grilled cheese for 9.50 which had a very good price for the amount given. It had a lot of fries and a huge portion. My dad had the Italian roast beef sandwich, and again, the portions were huge for the price. A great place for a quick snack because they aren't that popular so that equals no wait time. 4.5 stars for the atmosphere.
Some of the best food in town! Consistently delivers delicious flavors and extremely generous portion sizes for an affordable price. I’ve yet to have better gyro anywhere else in town, and I highly suggest the Medi Plate if you visit. Their menu is diverse and has a lot of different options even if you don’t want Mediterranean food, but I’d say you’re missing out if you don’t give their Mediterranean food a try. I used to say their service was their weakest link, but lately the service has gotten a lot kinder and helpful, no complaints anymore. And the environment is pleasant with a beautiful enclosed patio to enjoy your food in. Their coffee and lemonade are also great too, there’s few things to dislike about this place.
The worker who took our order and payment then brought out our food was patient and knowledgeable about the menu. Helpful when we asked for no dairy. The salad my spouse got was delicious and filling, and my UD fries were tasty, crispy, plentiful, garlicy. I love this place! The patio got full and crowded in a way that was hard to endure. But the food is worth it. A suggestion is a few armless chairs on the patio. We always have to carry an armless chair to the patio from indoors. A gratitude is that the hibiscus mint tea is unsweetened and refreshing.
Relaxed. Comfortable. Like eating in your new house or apartment. Boxes all about. But feels good to sit down and enjoy a well made, delicious gyro and french fries. A Gyro stuffed with meats, veg, and sauce. Fries came out first. Hot. Skinny little fries. Wonderful. Served with tzatziki on the side. Order at the counter. Nice guy brought out food out. We cleared our own table. A neighborhood joint. Well worth the visit and the value. Nice people in this family run business.
Fantastic food, super fresh and delicious. Reasonably priced. Great beverage selection. Dining room could use a good scrub and is cluttered w overflow storage items and equipment. Bathroom is not nice. But ... FOOD IS QUALITY and staff is always friendly and low-anxiety. It's a solid, regular go-to for us!
I’m new to Eugene and gluten free, so I have yet to discover the best eats in town. Generally I haven’t been impressed, but the food here was AMAZING! I should have snapped a photo before digging in, but alas my delicious half-eaten meal. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about — a little crowded and a small indoor seating area with a larger sunroom/patio. I sat in the patio area, but it was a little “lonely” feeling and I wish they had more seating inside. They should at least put some speakers out there to carry the music and personality through. Overall, I highly recommend Tradewinds for the food — best I’ve tried in the area so far!!!
Have been here a few times now and have been happy every time with the quality of the food we've received. The gyro pitas have a generous portion of crispy gyro meat and a flavourful tzaziki sauce with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. I love the pitas they use here, MUCH better than a local competitor! Happy to have discovered they also have a few beer taps in addition to the coolers of cans. Update: Lately my favorite has been the Fresh Veg sandwich. The pesto and cheddar cheese on it combine to make a magical sandwich!
